No, I don't have that problem.. but I've heard of two good suggestions.
1. put bitter apple flavor (natural) on cords
2. get pvc tubing and stuff cords through them, this way she can't get to them.

Maybe even give her some rubber toys to chew on. Usually cats (at least mine) don't like rubber toys, but it seems your kitty like the rubber.

Good luck with this problem, I understand how stressful this must be for you.

I'd try a health food store.. it is what one uses to stop kids from biting their nails. (weird practice if you ask me.. but that's another issue)

You might even find something at the pet store.. that is used to stop bunnies from doing this. (they are KNOWN for chewing cords)

You know, it seems someone (at another site I go to) suggested for someone to put citrus smell on a cotton ball and place it near the cords. I guess cat's don't like the smell of that.

good luck,

You can get Bitter Apple at Petsmart . Eventhough it is not attractive, you can also get pvc foam pipe insulators (about $1 for a 4 foot section at Lowes or Home Depot) , if there seems to be a particular cord he/she is drawn to .

Please act quickly to stop this behavior. I know of a child who got severe burns to her face from biting on an electrical cord. This is very dangerous to your kitty!

Garfield likes the tags hanging on electrical cords. Is that what is attracting your cat? If so, just be careful to remove all tags from all cords.

My worst nightmare. I am SO SO SO lucky that Miss Kitty pays cords no mind. I have them EVERYWHERE. I live in an old house with old electric that needs to be entirely redone, so I am careful not to overload outlets. This is especially hard with all my computer equipment and other entertainment electonics - I have to run cables across the room sometimes. And don't even ask me about the cable running across my living room to the computer room for the Internet (wireless makes me nervous security-wise so I refuse to do it).

Please let us know what you end up doing - I'm shocked (LOL) that the kitty isn't stopping when getting zapped. She must REALLY like that cord.

Hey Chris, is George still pulling plugs out of their outlets, or have you tried bitter apple too?
