That first pic would make a good "Caption This" entry. I hope poor Hammy isn't getting too nervous with kitties staring at him with dinner on their minds.

I havn't come up with names yet as I can't tell the 2 of them apart. I mean it is kind of a case almost of 'Send in the Clones'.

There is an Idea I'll have to mull awhile. Phule and Phreak.

We had gerbils when I was a kid and my brother sometimes put his in a ball like that... just one tip though... watch out for the stairs! One of our gerbil rolled down the stairs once. Poor thing! At least it wasn't injured.

Cute hamster! As long as he's not too scared, seems like a great source of entertainment for the cats!

Only 1 at a time in the ball but I have 2 hammys.
The curve of the ball diatorted the pic.

When I was around 14, I had a teddy bear hamster. I would put her in the ball frequently and it was SO much fun to watch our cat with her.

Thats ok! I thought that was his hamsters name! I thought it was a pretty cool name!
I couldn't get a hamster my cats would completely wrap their bodies around the ball and be kicking their back legs to break it apart.

My cats grew up watching my rats in their much bigger ball.
Of course, the rats held dominance over the cats, put the fear of God into them when they were just kittens.
The cats loved to watch though.....from far across the room

Gee Howard, thanks for sharing. I love the pictures! As far as names for them...how about "Hammy" and Eggie".....snert! Jasper and Tia are definately jealous! I'm looking forward to more pictures. :-)

This reminds me of when I had my hamster. I was cleaning the hamster's cage one day, left the room to get more shavings and when I came back into the room my cat (Roxy) was laying in the cage on the fresh shavings, ready to go to sleep. It was such a funny sight! BTW, she got so used to seeing the hamster rolling around in it's ball she didn't care at all...

My hamster also lived to the old age of 3! He was the best little guy His name was Hampton! I love your pics Howard!
