Hi all
I just wanted to let you know that Kiki, Alley and myself are ok. There is a lot of devestation here after the tornado and prayers would greatly be appreciated. We had at least 3 different tornados within 3 miles of my house touch down. The local animal "no Kill" animal shelter was sparred at the last second but all houses and farms around it were demolished or severely damaged. She has a lot of trees and minor roof damage. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. I have no affiliation with them but she has taken a lot of strays in including one that I found wandering around starving and in need of a home. I couldn't take her in because of my 2 cats I already have and also lack of space in my 1 bdrm condo. Here is her website
www.countryanimalhaven.org

Here is a pic of the tornados from my backyard

Yikes! That looks straight out of the movie Twisters! I saw the tornado warning for WIS last night on the news (I live in Chicago) and was trying to think good thoughts for you all--glad your home and you and your kitties are safe!

I put Ally and Kiki in the Laundry room and ran outside for a quick shot. I always admire those guys on the weather channel so I wanted to once be a storm chaser. I thought I was going to have a heart attack and after I took the picture I ran into the laundry room with the cats and hugged them and just cried..
Thanks for the prayers everyone. I just took a drive and the damage is heartwrenching.. Most roads are still closed though so we cant see a lot of it!

wow that is so weird!!!! We dont have television hooked up at my house so I couldnt watch the news. Wow! I had the weirdest feeling last night that there were tornadoes last night, but I didnt know there were three!!!! I live in Waupaca County and we were the ones who had it the last time. I dont know where Stoughton is though. Three tornadoes? How scary! I dont dare look outside when we have bad storms like the one last night... I just make sure I have both kitties tucked under my arms and hope for the best. Its a really lucky thing that the tornadoes stopped right before the shelter! Hopefully the farmers and people around thtem have insurance but it still cant account for their losses. I cant imagine you being three miles away from those tornadoes! I was 15 miles from one when I lived in missouri and the rain was falling down so bad that fifty windshield wipers wouldnt have helped keep the rain off of the car windows!

I hope you and your cats are doing well and I send vibes to everyoen affected!

We had 1 death. That man even took coverage in his basemant and the chimney collapsed on him. There were quite a few injuries Like glass and foreign objects in bodies. My best friend works at Stoughton Hospital and they were completely full in the ER. They had to send pwople to Madison 20 minutes away but would of been more like 45 as all roads were closed except 1.
Thanks for the healthy vibes and prayers...

My husband was driving up in that area yesterday. (He drives for Wal-Mart) Fortunately, he was gone before the weather turned vicious. I'm glad that you and yours are safe. Storms are awesome forces to be reckoned with, we get a lot here.
Stay safe!!!
