I just heard there was a tornado outbreak in Wisconsin, and some people died.
Hope all of Wisconsin TCS members are ok.

Yes the sirens were going off by me about 7:10 last night. There were 3 confirmed touchdowns-one near madison (stoughton)were one person was killed. The other two were Larsen and New London. I was watching the tv pretty intensly for a while had most stuff unplugged and ready to scoup the cats to go to the basement (they were all sitting by the front door wanting to go outside!!) Thankfully we got rain (1.5 inches in about an hour) and not much wind!! There are reports of tornados spotted in the area but no real damage here!!

Hope everybody's okay !

Our tornado season is in the spring and late fall/early winter so I tend to forget that there are other areas of the country where they get them in the summer. Anyone who has to deal with these things has my sympathy.

Hi Everyone-
I know I don't post much but am the proud mom of Kiki and Alley.
I live in Stoughton where the tornado touched down. 3 of them touched down 1/2 mile from my house. They are saying there was as much as 20 tornados spotted. We are all ok and blessed nothing happened to our home.
There is a lot of damage and its a huge devastation to our community. My church just burned down on Tuesday here in town. We are a tough community and will get through it. Please pray for the others who lost lives and there homes.
The local no kill cat shelter suffered some damage but no lives there were lost. She said the tornado veered the last second and damaged all the houses around the shelter but not the shelter itself.
Donations would greatly be appreciated to them. She has a lot of cats there and takes in strays daily.
The website of the shelter is www.countryanimalhaven.org

Here is a pic of the tornado I took from my back yard!!

Wiskris,
That is an awesome pic!
I'm glad to hear you made it through the tornados ok!
I can't even begin to think of how scary being in that situation is.
My thoughts are with you all

Even though the church building is gone, the prayers up there are still working just fine!
I am so glad that it is not worse. I will see if my budget will allow me to help out at all; it's been a rough month - had to attend an out-of-town funeral, buy a new washing machine, pay for car repairs, got a new kitten that needs her kitty shots.
I am just so glad that GailC & Wiskris are all right.

Prayers for all those who lost their homes, pets, etc. Tornadoes are so devastating; it's hard not to ask "why?"
