I share my pillow every night with my 15lb Jack, and wouldnt have it any other way. I probably couldnt sleep if he wasnt right there! I know I couldnt! Everything will be just fine...quit being such a fuddy duddy( I mean that nicely) go around like nothing has changed, except now you have a new friend, and let life go on.

I let my cats sleep with me starting at 3 months, at that time, they are big enough to excuse themselves for potty trips, and should be big enough to get back on the bed.

As for germs...
Well, I share my bed with a big old stinky dog, and anywhere from 3 to 6 cats every night, 2 of which have to be on my pillow.

I've never had even a close call with rolling over on any cat.

so true!

And if kitty isnt around, you'll be calling him or her into the room, as it won't feel right if they are not there!

mine have slept with me since they were 2 months old, & i'm VERY sizable - never had a problem. i'm thinking a very young or sickly kitten might be at risk, but the healthy ones sleep lightly & wake up at the slightest movement. & whil3 i can sleep without a cat in the bed, it's VERY difficult!

I'm having trbouble sleeping beause my new kitten won't stop biting me at night. She doesn't sleep with me, she crawls all over me, licks and bites and it is really getting on my nerves.

my resident cat won't sleep on my bed anymore because of this.

Give the kitten plenty of exercise on an evening before bedtime, along with some food and this should help a lot

I feed her near bedtime, and she plays a lot with the other cat as well... but it doesn't seem like enough. She is 4 months old now as well.

Ah, Leesali, i hear you!! I feel sort of lost without Theo there... i get really dissapointed and lonely when he's out mousing or something.. it makes my morning when i wake up and he's there, and i can just give him and little squeeze before i go to work.. love him sleeping on my bed, although as a single gal, it becomes a bit of a problem when i meet new guys with a cat jumping on the bed all the time!! whoops!

Cats are clean animals and I wouldn't be concerned with her sleeping up there with you. If you roll over on her, she WILL let you know and learn not to sleep in that spot.

All four of mine sleep on our bed with us. They wake at the slightest movements.
