My babies sometimes scratch their ears and their body all together. This might sound stupid but is it normal for indoor cats to scratch? I usually had indoor/outdoor cats so I did not pay attention. Could this mean that they have fleas? I inspected them and they don't seem to have any. Could they have ear mites? How would I spot these? Their ears are clean, there is no dried up blood. Once a week I check their ears. Am I being paranoid? We were at the vet a month ago he didn't say anything.

Thanks in advance,

Katie.

Everyone gets itchy sometimes. They may have a mild allergy to something. If they aren't traumatizing their skin, and the vet didn't see any fleas or mites then they are probably fine. Even indoor cats can get fleas though so you might want to put them on flea prevention.

That's what my mom told me, that even indoor cats have fleas. They are not damaging their skin in any way.

What's flea prevention? Thanks
