I shut cj out of the bathroom and tried the veet razora hair removal thing on my legs. The second I got both legs covered, cj had opened the door and came bounding in. He sniffed my legs and got it all over his nose, and then I freaked out and he turned around and ran, thus getting it all down one side. I wiped it off his nose the best I could and then jumped in the shower to rinse it off my legs because it would do no good to chase him and try to grab him with my legs covered. After my shower I got him and put him in the sink and forced him to take a bath. I washed his nose, and tried to rinse off his side as best as I could. I know it was working on him because a small amount of his hair did come off. I rinsed him the best I could, but that stuff is really hard to get off non hairy people, so now he is trying to dry himself off and I am worried he is ingesting it, if he hasnt already. What else should I do, I am worried. We have a vet appt. this afternoon for his general health. Should I have her give him another bath?
I have to be gone for the next four hours or so.....

Awww don't worry, accidents happen. You did the right thing by washing him, and i suppose another wash won't do any harm until he sees the vet.

My two get everywhere they shouldnt. I coloured my hair 2 weeks ago and Sophie stood on the empty bottle but still managed to get a couple of dots on her feet!

Thanks guys, I still feel like a bad mommy though. I know I will laugh about it in a few days, but he is so mad at me right now. Mad that I gave him a bath, mad that I got him wet, mad that I locked him out of the bathroom, mad that I tried to dry him off with a towel. Have you ever seen a truly pissed off cat? Its even funnier when they are wet and slightly furless. I gave him some treats and told him he was a good boy, but he spit them out at me.

Back when I was in the practice of dying my mohawk weird colors, Spaz got herself a dark green skunk stripe by accident.
In her case, I'm not even sure where/how she managed it, thankfully it was only vegetable dye.

I'm sure if you got as much as you could off of him he should be ok, definitely something to ask the vet!

I guess cats are masters at getting themselves in situations they had no business being in the first place. I mean this would have never happened had he not been so obsessive about getting into the bathroom. I mean he knew I was going to come out, I always do, but he just HAD to see what was going on. I dont follow him into his litter box do I? no. He seems to be fine now, but still will not let me pick him up. (on the plus side maybe he will stop getting on the counter where the sink is......because I forced him in the sink and gave him a bath.)

Ahh cats do make life more interesting though...
Just think, I could have had a normal morning. How boring would that be?

I thought it was a typo when I read the caption. Obviously this isn't something a guy would know anything about.

Its pretty funny now. This morning I was a little stressed though. The vet thought it was really funny as well. Never a dull moment around cats huh?

I'm glad that he is OK...if lacking a bit of fur.

Wash him again and call the vet... to see if there is anything else you can do.

I would have panicked, too...but it's pretty funny now. I'm glad he's okay! Hopefully, he didn't lose too much fur! Maybe this cured his obsession with being in the bathroom with you? lol

I was hoping you were right, but nope, back on the counter/sink of the kitchen, back in the bathroom...
like nothing happened, except for that little bald spot.

Glad that CJ is ok

I had a black and white cat when I was younger, and she walked past a newly painted door - ended up with a big white stripe down her side!
