A friend's birthday is coming up. Don't want to spend too much time thinking of what to get, so have narrowed it to these two shops. Please vote for which choice you think is the best. Just select the one you would want as if someone is offering them to you. Obviously the friend is a female from the choices of handbags and wallets.

Some choices offer different colors, so if you like one particular color, do say so too. Thanks!

Here are the main pages.
Kate Spade

Kenneth Cole

I have narrowed it down to the following but if you see something nice in the main page please do say so.

Do not hesitate to point out any other things that you feel are nice, since I am a guy and my fashion sense may not be too good.

erm, i have to say that none of those on the list are my type.
Considering i need a new purse (wallet) i would prefer the wallet.

The business card holder is absolutely adorable! I would want that...if I had business cards.

Personally, i like the hobo bag, but that is because i like bags with a generous strap, and a soft, curving body, they tend to sit best for me, and it's harder to get mugged when carrying a purse tucked neatly under your arm (tho, I tend to look for purses that will also do the mostdamage when beating the assailant with it..)

No. She is not my
special
friend. If she is my girlfriend or someone whom I secretly wish would become my girlfriend I would be agonising over what to get and spending loads of time on it and of course I would allocate a much larger budget to the gift. She is a friend, someone whom I got to know about a 2-3 months ago but somehow whom I find enjoyable to talk to. But she is not of a good friend status yet, due to the short time I have spent with her, yet I would not consider her just a normal friend. She is like a person with a potential to be a good friend. I hope this is not too confusing.

fwan don't worry, someone else on this side made the same mistake too and gave me tips on how to get a guy...

Shucks, I don't know about the nice friend bit,
I like to get nice presents for close friends because I know the great feeling I get when I get a nice present. I am sure you guys also get good gifts for your close friends. After all it is not everyday you find someone whom you can relate to and is also a very nice person.

As a pursaholic-I think that it would be hard to give one to a friend w/o knowing exact tastes (even though I would take and Kate Spade purse if anyone would be generous to buy one for me!!) Joining the ranks of the self employed within the nextfewmonths-the business card holder is nice!!

I like the Hudson Rivet II the best, in brown... but it is $500 and something... i dont know if you want to spend that much...

I like the regular Hudson Rivet in the red color though!

Bumpy, I guess a lot of us are from different economic backgrounds. If someone gave me a gift that expensive, I would think they were interested in more than friendship. I agree with everyone else, You must be a good friend. You are putting a lot of money and thought into this.

I knew you were a guy.
For what it's worth...

I chose the Broome Street Remy [Kate] in Rose. I believe a handbag is too personal a gift for a colleague or friend. Personally, I would prefer a wallet or card holder, and this one would make a classy gift.
