Hello All,
I am Nicole I live in FL. I am a stay at home mom of 4, Christopher 6 and RJ 2, (my human kids) and Ebony 1 1/2 and Lil Bit 8wks (my furry kids) and I wanted to join this group cause this is my first baby experience. I had gotten Ebony my female as a rescue and she has been wonderful. I have had her for almost 10 months now. However the baby is testing me, lol I am not sure of what to do or not what to do with him...I am having a hard time getting him to box train, the people I got him from said they had no problems, but I have done everything from locking him in a small room till he got used to it, to sitting and trying to play with the liter to get him to go in the box and I have even taken his mishaps and put them in the box...all turned up nothing I have been doing this for a week and don't know what else to try??
So if theres any body that has ANY..other suggestions PLEASE let me know, And he has been to the vet and they suggested what I have already tried, maybe he is just a slow learner?

I look forward to chatting with all of you and sharing our pet/love with eachother,

Welcome to TCS....I can appreciate your frustration...so I need a little more information here. First, when you locked him in the small room....did he use the litterbox? If so, it may be that you need to place more litterboxes around your home...it's hard to remember that kittens are like toddlers and as they are running around..they don't always remember to make it to the bathroom in time...so providing more litterboxes might work (if you don't want to spend a ton of money on litterboxes...you can make 'impromptu' litterboxes out of xerox box lids..just remember to change them out). If he isn't using the litterbox at all...is there a theme to his bathroom behavior...does he prefer wood, carpet, vinyl, your bedding?? It might give us clues as to what to try next.
