It is with a heavy heart I am writing this post. Fred had become increasing ill over the past week, and he was shutting down. The only right thing to do was to be as good a friend to him as he had been to me, and help him out of his pain. We were with him to the end, and he went peacefully, curling up on his towel, and leaving his frail little body. I will miss my little Fredlump.

Oh Krazykat, I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear Fred. You did the right thing and remained Fred's best friend to the end. He will be waiting to greet you one day with purrs and headbutts. I am certain he is grateful for you helping him to reach the Bridge in a painless, loving way. RIP Fred, you will be remembered lovingly

I am so sorry for this loss. I have enjoyed reading you little tales about Fred, and I love his pic in your siggy. It makes me think he was saying, "I refuse to be cute!"
Now Fred is over with all the other kitties waiting. I'm sure he is relieved to be at peace, and anxiously awaiting your reunion.

I wish there were words to ease your pain. Just know that I do understand a part of what you are feeling.

Oh Rebecca,

There are never words to say at a time like this, and even though you know you did the right thing, that does not soothe the ache in your heart or take away the lump in your throat. I am sure Fred has lots of buddies around him now-

Hugs to you as you sort this out-

It is so difficult to let our sweet babies go home...even when we know it is the best thing best for them. You will be in my prayers.
RIP sweet Fred.

Rebecca, I'm so very sorry for your great loss of a great friend. I'm sure Fred is at the Bridge helping the kittens find their way, just as he did with you.

Rest in Peace dear Fred. You will always be remembered with love. You are a kind and giving soul.

In my short time at TCS it was obvious how much you loved Fred and how big a part of your life he was. Sounds like he lived a long and happy life with you. Bless you and Fred!

Sorry to hear of your loss. Fred was very special to you. Even though you are sad, try to remember all the wonderful, happy, special moments you had with him and how he must have felt so loved by you. Only time can heal your hurt - we've all been in your shoes and it hurts we know.

Sending hugs to you.

I'm sorry for your loss.
It seems Fred lived a good long life and is hopefully on to a better place, free of pain.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. It really helps. He went very peacefully, and I hope one day I will able to envision him playing with his brother and being papa cat to our lost TCS kittens. Right now I am wondering how I am going to sleep without him.
