Hi there, I am pretty new to this site and I love it!
I had six cats orginally, but lost one to an unknow disease
At the time I lost my baby girl, my friend called me to tell me she found a litter in a shed. (I am a vet tech and work with a non-kill shelter) I totally believe in signs!

I captured the kittens adopted out 4 and my husband picked one and so did I. They are orange tabbies about 4 months old now. I was having problems will the male having diarrhea all over my house. After that he had soft stool, but woun't go in the box. I ruled out all parisites, and infections. I changed his food, got new boxes and litter. I gave him to someone else in the shelter last week, but miss him dearly.
My husband and I don't make a lot of money, but we can afford food and litter. I've always been a momma's girl and listened to my mom. She told me to get rid of some of my cats, so I got rid of him. It is killing me knowing he is in a cage by himself. What should I do???

Is it possible for you to keep him until you find him a good home? I think you would feel more comfortable with doing that.... I don't want to tell you to keep him because I don't know your finances. You have other things to think about besides food and litter... Vet visits being one of them.

Great! So are you saying you can afford him, but you got rid of him just because your mom told you to? Sorry I am confused

How many cats do you have now?

If you are married and living your own life I don't see why you should have to get rid of your cat just because your Mom says so

Only you can make the decision as to whether or not you can provide adequate care for this cat, such as your financial situation, and enough space for 7 cats....
If you can't keep him permanently, what about fostering him until you find a good forever home for him?

I am sorry, I also wanted to add that if you don't feel down inside that you can't take this cat home... and there is nothing wrong with that, you have your hands full all ready
, then you have done the best thing by taking the cat to a no kill shelter. I am willing to bet he won't be there long before he finds a great home.
