If the 3rd eyelid is showing it's normally when their unwell

Rosiemac, I don't know what it is though! I mean, would I be able to tell? I was just curious, my cat(s) is(are) fine but just wondered what a third eyelid is.

When you look at their eyes open, a thin membrane like a piece of skin?! starts to come over their eyeball from the corner of their eye.

If i scritch my two under the chin they start to close their eyes and you can actually see the 3rd eyelid come over, but when their ill it stays there all the time.

To get a better picture try randomly typing " third eyelids in cats " and theres bound to be some pictures on the internet.

I did that (searching), so I don't have anything to worry about. Just being a paranoid cat owner. Thanks for your feedback
