As many of you know, I'm packing up my belongings and moving out of a really hostile living situation in September. I decided, after starting my new job and getting a very generous gift from my grandparents, to replace as much of my hand-me-down parents-basement garage-sale-material furniture as possible.

So today, I went to IKEA.

Here are teh goodies I got!!!:
-Service for 6 dining-ware in transparent cobalt
-New silverware (24 piece set)
-12 12 ounce glasses
-6 mugs/teacups with saucers
-4 piece set of cooking pots
-a set of those nesting tupperware bowls
-1 large wicker storage basket for my bathroom (I have a pedastal sink)
-6 shelves and brackets
-one large vase
-a package of those cool glass marbles you put in the bottom of a vase to make a decoration
-2 fake potted plants
-One large panoramic picture frame for 3 5X7's
-4 5X7 picture frames
-extra fitted sheets for my bed
-a bedside table with shelves AND a drawer
-an entertainment unit
-a medium sized chest of drawers

For all this, I paid a grand total of $395.60

A steal! I LOVE IKEA so much! It is every young person's dream come true!

Hey, believe me, age has nothing to do with it.
I'm almost 33 and still LOVE IKEA!

I'm going shopping on my birthday at the end of this month for some new stuff including a kitchen table and set of chairs, a new coffee table and side tables, lamps, and an armchair. Exciting!

Ikea really is the best! Unfortunately, there aren't any Ikea stores around here. Rumor has it that one is opening up in Altamonte Springs though, which is right near Orlando so I'm REALLY hoping that one turns out to be true! Congrats on your great steals!!!! I'm sure it all will look stunning!

I'm so with you - I LOVE Ikea - every piece of furniture I own (literally, I'm not exaggerating!) and most of my other household stuff (linens, dishes, decor) is from Ikea - and I'm planning a little spree to buy a new bed, bedside table, sideboard, desk and probably other stuff I don't really need
in a month once I move into my new place. Glad you had fun and got lots of great stuff!

I love IKEA too! We are getting these chairs when we get back from our cruise next month. We are putting in french doors between our living and dining room, and added a beautiful slip cover to our couch along with the chairs from IKEA. I'll have to do some more shopping when I want new towels and such!

There is no Ikea around here, but when I clicked on the website, I saw that there will be one opening about a half hour away from here!!!!

I want to see what Ikea stuff everyone else has!

Oooh, I am! I am!

You have the same sofa as my boyfriend!

Anyway.

These chairs (my table matches, but is from somewhere else)http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...ts=10117*10187
This Bed (I opeted for the full size, though) http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...ts=10103*10144
This entertainment unit: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=52065
This coffee table: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=11135
This side table (in hot pink!): http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=11140
This chest of drawers:
http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=13880
This bedside table: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...roductId=55201

I could go on for days posting all the little knick knacks I have from there, but basically, all of my furniture for my new place (other than my desk) is from Ikea!!

Yay!

I love your bed! I wanted that one, but they only offer it in single here!
Your entertainment unit is also awesome - cool stuff!

Actually, it's either in what's considered Tukwilla, or Renton...not too far from where my dh works.

I agree!! Between there and Pottery Barn(well, PB on ebay to be exact!), our house is getting furnished! We're headed there next weekend to get some shelving for the computer room...we also need to furnish a guest bedroom but that will probably need to wait. I want to white...I think that looks so pretty!

You sure cleaned up well Allie!!
Don't you LOVE having a successful shopping spree?
I've never been in an Ikea (the closest one is 5 hours away in Hotlanta), but from the stuff I've seen online, that place is awesome! It's probably good that we don't have one here- otherwise I'd be spending all of my paychecks there!

Well ................

The 2006 IKEA book just came through my front door!!!!!

They have so much new stuff and I am pleased they have added PAX to the Aneboda range.... this means I can get someone to build me a corner wardrobe and I can buy the Aneboda doors to match all my other bedroom furniture!

I
Ikea!

Oh and back in February, they opened the largest IKEA in the UK just 10 minutes down the road from me! How cool is that? If I want something little then I can just get the free IKEA bus there and back!
