This oughta lead to some fun discussions

Ok, so I'm on the fence. It's where I like to be.

I believe in the *possibility* or *probability* of life outside of Earth. I do think it's incredibly arrogant of humans to think we are the only intelligent beings in the entire universe. However, I also think that the vast majority of what is reported as UFO sightings and abductions are people's very active imaginations or just plain hoaxes (especially in this day and age of advanced photo/video editing).

Oh I think there is intelligent life out there in the rest of the universe. It's here on Earth that I wondeer about. When I think about what I can co with a picture being the Techno Neanderthal I am though I aint gonna be truly convinced till some alien actually comes up to me. Sorry guys.

You'll notice that there hasn't been a major UFO "flap" since the advent of so much electronic gadgetry so that virtually everybody has access to a digital camera, or camcorder on a moment's notice? Oh, I think there's definitely alien races out there, but as far as them coming here, there's this little thing called the speed of light ...

I believe. I also believe that I saw one when I was younger.

I believe it's possible. I think it's all really exciting and I'd love to see a day when aliens came for a visit. (If they were friendly )

BINGO! Therefore I vote "on the fence".

I am on the fence as well!

I was an Air Traffic Controller for 8 years (4 yrs Air Force, 4 yrs civilan) and saw many things that could of been "labled" as UFO's. Not to say that they were little green men in flying sausers, but they unidentifiable. Once I saw something that appeared to look like a long silver cigar shape tube, I'm not saying it was a UFO - but to this day we still don't know what it was...

I voted no because i've always thought " where do they get their electrical components from for their space ship?", not to mention the nuts, bolts and screws!

I think it would be arrogant of us to assume we are the only intelligent life out here.

That's how I view it, too. Yes, I believe that much of the "proof" of aliens that has been presented has been completely fabricated.

When I was little, my school chorus had a presentation at a hotel on the island I lived on. Well, on that way there that night, I saw this large round craft hovering only about 100' above the ground.....it had these bright, multi-colored lights all around it....when we left that night, it was gone. The next day, a LOT of people around town talked about seeing the same thing. Was it a UFO? No way to be sure....maybe it was a military craft (though not like anything I've ever seen- and I work at an army airfield), maybe it was otherworldly.

There are billions upon billions of miles of space that we have never seen. Who knows how many thousands of planets exist with intelligent life far beyond our own?
I BELIEVE!!!! sorry...having a gospel moment. I think it's highly unlikely that we're the only ones around. I don't know if there's other cultures visiting us or not, but I think that there are other beings on other planets.
I don't think UFO's exist.
I think it is possible they exist.

As a die-hard Star Wars and Star Trek fan, & not to mention, The X-Files... I HAVE to believe.

Anyway, who in the heck says humans are intelligent? We kill our own kind, screw each other over for a percentage (quoting Ripley from "Aliens"), and worse than anything, destroy our own planet.

I think there's way more intelligent life out there. They just don't want to talk to us til we get our stuff straight is all.

At that rate, I fear it'll be a cold day in hell before we hear from them.

Ditto!

I agree with those who believe we are probably not the only intelligent life in t he UNiverse, but I cannot accept the idea that UFOs come and take a look and then go away again! I mean, would you? Why don't they land and make themselves known, for good or ill? Having said that, I met someone online who not only believed in them but said that aliens created man and that they were 'Training us' for the next stage of existence, and that he (this guy) was in touch with them! He had a weird website somewhere but I have lost the URL.

Sounds like a Scientologist to me!
