Hi guys....I have some good news I wanted to share!!

About 5 months ago, one of my cats "Whiskers" wandered off and didn't come back. I was so devestated. I called all over, and went looking for her, but to no avail.
I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that she was gone for good.
I know I told a few of you about my concerns, but didn't post it on the site, because there was so much other stuff going on here at the time, and it was also hard for me to talk about.

But......yesterday I went outside, and who was sitting on the ledge under the window, but WHISKERS!!!! I was so happy! She looks great, too! She is well fed, and so obviously someone has been taking care of her...I wish I knew who, so I could thank them!

I brought her in and loved and held her most of the evening.

Just wanted to share this with you all....because I know that at least one of you has a cat that has been missing for awhile now, and I want you all to know to never give up hope!!! Miracles DO happen!
I think God was looking out for her!

I'm so happy for you! What good news! Welcome back, Whiskers!

What a shame you can't let her other family know she is safe and sound too.

I know....I was thinking about that, too...they may be worried about her, and thinking something has happened to her. Maybe I could put a little ad in the paper saying thank you to whoever has taken care of her.

This reminds me tho of a cat that used to reside at my aunt's place. He showed up one spring day and settled himself right in,sleeping in the haybarn or the house as the mood struck him. He was a gorgeous, friendly puss and very healthy. One day in the fall he disappeared. Everyone figured finally that a fox or something had picked him off. Guess who showed up on the doorstep again as soon as the snow disappeared. This cycle went on for a couple of years but they could never find where he went...none of the neighbors laid an eye on him.

Finally one day, while out driving, Helen spied him curled up on a porch rail. Sure enough,it was him. The owner told how this cat, whose name it turns out was Drifter, disappeared every spring and re-appeared just before the snow. To accomplish this migration of his,Drifter traversed a stretch of deep woods 10 miles thick. This strange odesey went on for several years until Drifter got old and settled down at his "winter home" for good.

Debby. That is great news about Whiskers. Don't you wish she could tell you where she has been and what happened? (My cat that I call Lumpy has a real name of Whiskers too)

KF - what a great story!

Hey Deb :daisy:

I think that would be a great idea to put an ad in the paper! I'm sure you were really happy to see her, but I'm also sure that whoever took her in is probably worried now too! Maybe you guys at least could at least could exchange numbers and see who's got her! :laughing2

HUGS!!!

What super news! I am sure Whiskers is just as happy to be home as you are to have him home.

I really appreciate your kind words, and Kittyfoot that really is a nice story!! I think I will try the ad in the paper, to see if anyone has been taking care of her and wondering where she went.
