Plane Crash near Athens

A Helios Airways plane has crashed near Athens killing all 121 people on board. This is really sad. I feel for the people who have lost loved ones as I am part Greek...

The area where the crash happened is literally only a few miles from where my aunts villa is on Eretria - in the mountains. If they had been there this weekend they probably would have seen it happen, but they are in Sardinia.

I pray for those who have lost loved ones and that the air investigators can find out the cause of this crash. There have been stories that the cabin pressure dropped etc.

Yes, I heard about that plane crash on the news. It is very sad, indeed.

do u have any info on the crash?? as a cyber friend of mine is away there.

It was a flight from Cyprus to Prauge via Athens airport. I hope this helps.

my cyber friends in the nth of greece hope its no-where near the crash site.and as shes away at the mo wont be hearing from her unless she gets to a cyber cafe.

I think your friend should be ok - it happened south of Athens... I think most of the victims were from Greece and Cyprus from what I have read.

How very sad!! Prayers for all the families & loved ones left behind; and wishing those crossing RB will be greeted with lots of tail wags, puppy kisses, purrs & head-butts. I hope that no children were on board; I just don't have the heart to read about it in the media today...

Sounds like there were kids on board, from what I am hearing. Very very sad for all the people involved.
