Aristotle will "suck face". It's the same as when a kitten is nursing only on your cheek! I've started pulling the covers over my head, but this morning he did it to my leg.

Also, he is a "light eater". That means at the first hint of morning light, he's ready to eat!

At our house it's usually me who wakes Bijou. I love to sleep in on weekends and he'll sleep as long as I sleep. When I have to get up early for work he will just lie there and I can't make the bed because I don't want to disturb him. I kiss on him and love him a bit then I leave him sleeping while I toddle off to work to earn money to keep him in the manner to which he is accustomed.

Ha that is so true and so funny! It's uncanny the way they do that!

I set my alarm for 6am, but I really do not need to.

Snickers & Hammie both sleep right up next to me (they kind of argue over who gets to be closest to mommy)... Snickers makes these really funky "Trilling" noises... wakes me from a dead sleep! He usually starts his trilling around 5am, so I just lay awake & listen... Snicky also bites my nose (gently... not meanly) and paws at my hair.

And Hammie, my baby, he has been sleeping near my neck like he used to as a kitten (he is jealous of Snickers big time). Hammie's getting into the Alarm Cat thing now. When Snickers starts that trilling, Hammie will extend his claws & dig into my neck!

FEED ME MOMMA!

Pearl becomes quite upset if I'm not up by 5:30. She goes to the closet door and starts hitting it with her front paws for about ten times. Then she'll sit by the side of the bed and look to see if I'm awake. If she thinks I'm still sleeping she'll keep doing it. I pretend I;m sleeping sometimes just to see how long she'll do it. When she gets mad she'll jump up on the bed and meow in my face or suck on my ear. She's so funny and a real little princess/tyrant!!!!!!

Cleo is in the habit of wanting attention at 3 a.m. She comes right up to my face and meows softly, which is never enough to wake me up all the way so she will lick my face until I wake up and pet her. If she thinks I'm starting to nod off againg she starts licking again until I resume petting her. And of course, neither cats ever bother my husband in the middle of the night, just me. Between Cleo and my husband's snoring it's a wonder I get any sleep!

I have to get up at 3 am during the week, so I'm usually up before the girls. The weekend is a different story. Ruth still wants to be fed at 3, so she'll jump up on the bed and walk all the way up my legs and back. Once she's reached my head, she'll start mewing and head butting. If that doesn't work, she'll nip whatever is out from under the covers. If I'm being especially lazy, she'll play with the blinds.
Kitty Bear, on the other hand, will sit up by my head and purr as loud as she can. Believe me, she can be really loud if she wants to.

Lightning wakes me up anywere between 4:30am and 5:30am. I brush him away until 6 when my actual alarm goes off. I have been going to work much earlier with him around. Before Lightning I would sleep till 7 am. Now I am getting into work for 7 am.

What he normally does depends on how I am sleeping, if I am on my back he will jump up onto my chest then start purring loud and then lick my face. If I am on my side he just comes up and licks my face.

Tigger sleeps on the bed with me unless I move around too much...then she'll sleep under the bed. My alarm is set to go off at 6am every morning (except weekend) but I don't need it because Tigger wakes me at 5:30... like clockwork! She used to just walk all over me until I got up but we're at the point where that doesn't bother me as much, so she had to find a new trick. She sits across the room, stands up on her hind legs, and scratches like a maniac at my full length mirror... what an awful noise that makes!!! I've tried everything to get her to stop but she is intent on getting me up. All I want is that extra 1/2 hour of sleep!!

And she doesn't want food... it's solely for attention. She cuddles on my lap for as long as I'll sit still. Then, as I start to get ready for work she goes back to bed!!!

I have to admit though, she is the best mid-day nap partner ever! On a Saturday after running errands and doing chores I often go for a mid-afternoon nap (which I wouldn't have to do if she let me sleep past 5:30 on the weekends!) She follows me into the bedroom and sleeps as long as I want
