I just signed up my 2 younger cats with VPI, and got the vaccination and routine care coverage. Never had Pet Insurance before, so I decided to try it for a year and see if I still felt it was worth it. On 8/3, I submitted my first claim for vaccs and care, and today I received a check for exactly what they said they would cover, which was about half of what the vet bill was. (I will say I think my vet charges are overpriced compared to other area vets. ) I have heard some people say that it is better to take the premiums and open a saving acct for vet costs, but for me I, I don't think I could be that disciplined. But, it seems to work just like your regular health insurance for yourself. So make sure you understand what they don't or won't cover, and if there are any breed particular issues that may affect you.

Thanks for that info, i will pay $24 a month for the policy, it's really worth it even if they only pay half of it, it costs me almost $2000.00 for my other cat before he was put to sleep, pet insurance will help me provide proper medical care for my one remaining kitty.
