Kinda worried

Are cat just had kittens a few days ago. when we came home we found em up in the crawlspace near insulation so we moved em from there to the box we had set up for the cat and the kittens. which is in the basement. for the last few days they were fine in there and the now no longer pregnant cat was feeding her kittens. whats odd is i went down there about an hour ago and there is no signs of the kittens. the cat was out of the box wandering and we hadnt seen her all day but the all 5 kittens were nowhere to be found. we scavenged the house and the basement and we still havent found the kittens..i dont know what to think. were we bothering her so she moved them? or whats going on here. im watching her to see where she goes and hopefully find them.

Not sure why no one answer you yet, unfortunately I have no idea what could've happened.

try to put a bell on the momma to make her easier to follow, it make take some patience, good luck!

Cats can be so sneaky sometimes. I certainly hope she just hid them from you. Keep a close eye on her and maybe you can find the kits. If she leaves them too long, they will start crying and you will hear them.

Yes my sister found them the next morning. mommy moved them all to a seperate box in the crawlspace away from the end of the stairs and even moved the little blanket with her as well. all 5 kittens are doing just fine.

That's good to hear.....have you made sure that there is nothing these little ones can get into while they grow and start to explore? I had a mom and her 3 kittens in my bathroom and when they got older and could crawl around..they were in EVERYTHING. Would be a good idea to just walk around your basement and make sure there isn't anything that could be dangerous or a place you couldn't find them...and either remove the item or close it off to them somehow. Glad that everything is ok.
