everyone!
what a great board! i'm excited to be a member!

my husband is in the military, and we are currently stationed around naples, italy.

i have two 8wk old kittens, snooker (orange boy) and blossom (a bit of everything girl). i adopted them at a charity event sponsored by naples friends of animals. i had no clue i was going to adopt one, let alone two kitties when i walked over to take a look!

i saw snooker (then about two weeks old i guess) first and he let me hold him for awhile. he looked up at me with that adorable face and that was it...i was his! plus, my maternal instincts were in overdrive (i'm 5 months pregnant). any doubts i had were erased when i asked the sponsor if snooker knew how to go to the litter box. if that little rascal didn't look right at me and walk over to the box and do the deed! so off to the phone to beg hubby to please let me bring a cat home. once i signed the paper for snooker, all of these 'cat people' descended upon me, saying 'oh, you can't just have one get two!' i was powerless...'who does he seem to get along best with?' i asked. the little furball snuggled up to a cute little girl kitten and that was that. i didn't take them home that day, the sponsor was really fabulous and gave me a few days to prepare my house.

now, blossom is the reigning queen of the house, and is my furry little baby. snooker is the prince of mischief; climbing on every single thing and into every closet that has an open door. my 6yr old son is enjoying them too. and they have wrapped my huband around their little paws. it's been fun to watch them 'take over' the house! we are in the process of putting together a nursery for our baby and the kittens are convinced that the cradle and changing table are there just for them!

how did i ever live without cats????

Welcome to the wonderful world of cats. We have 2 and we feel like we've been doubly blessed.

When I look into Bijou's eyes my heart does a flip-flop and when I hold Mika and kiss her it makes my day (or hour since I kiss on her and Bijou constantly).

I'm not sure if this is the problem,
but hope this helps!
Click on the picture from photobucket that you want to send, to view it at actual size. Then right click the picture, and then click "properties" You should see "Address" followed by the web address. Copy that and then paste it in the "image" bar here on TCS. Got that?? I'm very poor at directions....sorry!

Welcome to the cat site!

bijou and mika are beautiful! such lovely eyes! i kiss my 'babies' alot, too, at first they would look at me like 'what are you doing???' but now they are quite tolerant and allow me to kiss them

thanks emmysamson, for your help! i've got to work on getting the size of the picture down, but now that i've had my hissyfit (lovely preggers hormones) i think i've figured it out.

my two kittens were found by a german lady who had originally named them samson and emily...isn't that cool?

Welcome to you, Snooker, and Blossom....
I too am still having trouble with posting pics, but I think my main problem is that I haven't taken any pics in a while...I think that might help my situation.
