Yes it is. Make sure your farm and fleet has the kind that doesnt use glue! all it should be is compressed wood. Our farm and fleet has two kinds, a hardwood and softwood. I like the way the softwood breaks down better and no dust at all so we use that.

The only warning on the bag is that an animal or human shouldnt CONSUME it..but i dont like anyone or any kitty should eat kittty litter of any kind.

I've heard of others using the pellets, they're said to be same type of material as Feline Pine.

I live in the south & I can't get them here.

Becky, the brand name version is Feline Pine - same material, more expensive packaging. And yes, it's safe for kitty litter.

My parents had a pellet-burning stove when I was in Jr High - we bought by the ton and hauled it in Dad's truck. Had I known then how good it was for litter, I'd have had a lot fresher bathroom!!!

I'm going to try it! I currently have 4 litterboxes for 3 cats, so can easily put it in one. (In fact I have something called Papurr in one box-wow is it ever stinky! And the cats won't use it!)

I do know that a feed store convenient to where I used to live carried them. You other Southerners might try calling around feed stores, and also checking if you have any local "wood stove" vendors that might be able to point you toward a local source. They're rare down here, and probably non-existent on the coast, but if they have (or at least had) them here in Central Alabama then it's possible that they can be found elsewhere.

Thats true. I was looking for a dealer locator for everyone last night. And I am gonna keep looking today. Never hurts to help right?!
we have tons of wood stove fenders up here. But this is Minnesota....hehe it does make me smile though, the pellets I chose to use are brought in from Canada

Beckipoo My kits wouldnt use the Papurr either! Good luck! I am happy with the pellets...breaks down like saw dust and without the big price tag!
