Never found any of Wesley's and only one of Buttercup's canines.   She was being spazy, bit down hard on her cat tree when we were playing together, and pop out came a canine and a tiny bit of blood.  Freaked until I realized it was just a baby tooth.

Oh darn.......

There are a few posters I think about sometimes, quite often in fact, wishing they would come back and start posting again.......Will have to remind myself to check dates when I see their names somewhere to make sure I don't do this again.

Hey peps,

This morning my 5 month old kitten lost a tooth and we found it because we saw it sticking straight out , then it had fallen out when i came to check on him.:)

How nice for you that you found it. Did you save it?

Would have asked the same question a month ago.  I found out the hard way.  One of my cats teeth stuck me in the foot!

That is so adorable! I never knew that cats lose their teeth. I guess I should have given it's only logical but I'd never really thought about it. I came home today after being away from my little kitten for about a week and while playing with him a little tooth fell out. Of course I googled it to make sure it was healthy and threw a little squee fest when I found that it was entirely natural. Of course I'm keeping the tooth! I put it in a little tin. Pan is my first kitten and other than my ferret Scamp he is my first pet.

So freaking cute! I learned something today. I'm kinda amazed at the timing though. I had been missing him like crazy for the week I was away and then come back and he shares this with me. Priceless.

You don't need to do a thing - nature is awesome that way! Do can keeep an eye out though for swollen, red or inflamed gums. Remember to have any signs of discomfort in your kitty's mouth checked by your vet!!

My vet informed me they start lose their baby teeth at around 13 weeks, and he told us to try and watch out to see if we could see when it started because one of our kittens we have bought in the past had been rehomed a week or two early, and he wanted to see if they were just small, or infact sold too early.

The cat that was sold to us early now weighs 6kg (13lbs or so)... so I don't think it harmed him!

Wow! How fascinating! I didn't know kittens have milk teeth let alone lose them. I can't think of anything more precious than a little container of kitten teeth!! I wonder if the kitten tooth fairy has whiskers?

Thank you guys for relieving me
Puma just turned 5 months old and I had no clue they lost their teeth. I noticed he was chewing weird and whiskers were twitching.. I checked inside his mouth thinking he had food stuck or something... turns out he was just losing a tooth (up back right tooth). I feel much better now!!

BTW my kitten ended up at the vets as she had so much pain, briefly, from teething that she stopped eating!  She had double fangs, but it's all sorted itself out now.

I have a cat that is turning 12 this year and he unfortunately lost his lower right tooth because he is diabetic and my family and I can't afford to get him his insulin on a regular bases so I just do my best to make his life as comfortable as possible. He is the biggest sweetheart to every come into my life, his sister and brother are also very gentle when they try to get him to play.
