This is funny...

Mum tells me Cairo has been acting really weirdly lately....wailing and shouting and being very demanding...

Anyway, we couldn't work out what the matter was, she was acting hungry but she's never had any problems with her eating.

But Mum worked out this morning what the problem was - she WILL NOT eat anything out of her bowl if there is a `hole' in her food and she can see the bottom of the bowl! It's metal and she can see her reflection in it, and apparently that freaks her out. And it makes sense in hindsight, actually, because she won't come through a door she can see her reflection in, either!

Silly girl...

Looks like kitty will be getting a new dish then?

Nah, Mum just goes in there when Cairo starts whingeing and shakes the food around a bit and she starts eating again!!

Apparently, too, since Sashka and Sunday came back to live with me, Cairo has adopted this kind of hang-dog `everybody hates me' stance, where she creeps around without making a sound, and then you'll just have settled onto the lounge or something and all of a sudden this face appears next to you out of nowhere, scares the living daylights out of you, and then she runs away in offense if you try to touch her.

You can't win with Cairo - when the other two were there she acted like she hated them and now they're gone she's all miss lonesome broken-heart!!
