I have an attic fan that I run to help circulate the air in my apartment. Unforunately, it's a little dusty in the attic and the cats have been leaving "adorable" paw prints in my porcelein bathtub. I had tried using different cleaners and a scrub brush but nothing completely got rid of the ground in paw prints until I finally tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Wow!! Those paw prints were erased without much effort!!

Anyway, I have no idea what chemicals are in the Magic Eraser. It doesn't have a chemical or perfume scent. It doesn't state the ingredients on the packaging, but I was impressed with it. I did rinse the tub thoroughly because I know my cats love to hang out there.

I know you're expecting before and after shots of the tub, but I wanted to show you the Magic Eraser!!!

I love those Magic Erasers. I use them everywhere. I scrubbed my entire kitchen floor with one, well 2, of them and it looks great

I have hard water too. My faucet used to drip and there is a long line of hard water deposits on the tub from where the water dripped from the faucet. I used the Magic Eraser on it and it helped a little but it really ripped up the sponge. I think I need a chisel!!

If I attach it to a mop handle, would it make it easier to use?

Maybe! I wish I would have thought about that before I crawled around on my hands and knees scrubbing with my bare hands!

It's great for taking crayon off walls, marker too. My favorite is using it on the refridgerator door handle. It's white and textured. Nothing else could get it clean, but this thing does it easily! And they're cheap, really. Yay!

Hmmmm, I wonder if that would work on our tub? Nothing gets the staining out except this awful strong ACID product (Zep) that we get from Home Depot. Well, by this time the porcelain finish has been etched which just makes it that much harder to clean of course. I suppose that this is something you can get at the grocery?

Hey guys I have a cleaning question for you...

What do you use to get cat poop out of the carpet that has been smashed down into the carpet? : (

Yes, I bought mine at the grocery store. They come in 2 and 4 packs.

Instead of cleanser, use Bar Keepers Friend. It dissolves the rust, without damaging the finish.

Prissy, for poop on the carpet, try oxyclean. I LOVE IT!

I haven't used Bar Keepers Friend in a long time. Maybe I'll try that again. My problem isn't rust. It's the calcium/lime build up. If my tub were a cave, it would look really cool!!! I know white vinegar works great on minor calcium/lime build up, but it's very difficult to "soak" the side of the tub.

We had well water at our old house and always had stains in the toilet. The only thing that ever worked for me is a pumice stick. It definitely takes elbow grease, but it worked. I bought at WalMArt in the cleaning section.

Oh duh, and I have some Oxyclean too. I have used so many different carpet cleaners and the stuff is just ground so far down in there I haven't been able to get it out yet. I bet it works best if it is hot and it soaks for a while.

Thanks for the advice!

I love magic erasers! They work great on my stove! Also, Watson likes to rub up against the white walls, and I just noticed this a couple of weeks ago nasty dark lines where oil and dirt get trapped on there...it made a world of a difference!! It took it right out. Also, we have hardwood floors...and Zack was sitting in a chair and scooted it across the room without picking it up and it left HORRIBLE marks...guess what got the marks out?!
It just works on everything!!

Yep, I started talking about a fan, but it's all about the Magic Eraser. I've had the fan avatar most of the summer. I thought a fan was appropriate for this time of year. I also don't have AC either!!

YES, YES, YES. We had freshly painted our walls before we moved in and my husband put down a hardwood floor. The rubber hammer from the nailer made terrible marks on the new paint. Mr. Clean came to my rescue and I was amazed.

I also have a very pastel golf bag that was really marked up - again Mr. Clean and his magic eraser did a magnificent job.

It really is MAGIC!

For calcium buildup we use LIME AWAY or CLR. They both work very well.
