Alright, I can confirm that I see the 2 posts. That is very odd and I cannot offer any exact explanation. I suspect that it could have to do with the forum software... Need a bit of time to figure it out

I think you'll find that in all those cases there are polls attached. When a new vote is registered on a poll it rises to the top as having a new post, whether there actually is a new post or not. I've noticed that lots of times, and come to the point of subconsciously noting who was the last poster, and not bothering to check the "new post" unless it is someone else. I think it's more obvious in this instance, because these are older threads, resurrected, likely with only a new vote added to the poll. At one point earlier this evening, I saw no less than 8 of these older threads in IMO, and wondered who had been on an archaeological dig.

The poll answer is the correct one. If someone votes on a poll, it counts as a reply and tosses the thread to the top of the pile. I advise a closing date for polls when they are created.
