Another newbie!

Hiya Everybody!

I've been watching this forum for a while now, and have finally signed up! Me and my boyfriend are looking to buy a kitten. He has had cats before but this is a first for me! I have been researching online and from books and think an exotic shorthair persian cat would suit us.

Does anyone have experience with exotic shorthairs? I work part time so would only be home in the afternoons, we also don't have a garden. So i've been quite unsure what breed to go for.

I have contacted a couple of breeders, one has a kitten ready in 4 weeks, which is soooo cute. He's litter trained, de-flead, reared at home, vaccinated registered and insured and is from dna pkd negative parent's pet price £300. Although this last part doesn't mean much to me???? What questions should I be asking.....we really don't want to make the wrong decision. What should we ask the breeder and how do we find a good one? This breeder is over 3 hours away. We have seen a picture of the kitten.

Any tips and advice would be so helpful
