Hi, as some of you may know I have a sick kitten
I took her to the vet last night and they kept her over night...and called again this morning and they want to keep her today. They are giving her fluids and he kept saying something about a "third eye" being open??????? Anybody know what that means?

Also, I just got this kitten three days ago, and now she has been hospitalized so I was wondering what this is going to cost? I was not really prepared to have her get sick three days into it, and thought you could give me a ballpark guess. Thanks for your replies!!!

It's impossible to say because vets charge different prices. Do not be afraid to phone your vet and ask them. After all, it's in their interest to know you would be able to pay the bill, or would agree to pay the bill. But when my cat sat at the vet for 2 days, they charged me 255$ (it also included blood test and some medications). Just so you know it could be a lot, depending on whether they do tests. Don't be afraid to ask the vet what they charge for different tests, etc.

As for third eye, it's the third eyelid showing ( it's skin that comes from the bottom of the eye). Apparently it's an indication that a cat is sick.
