How big is your bed?

My boyfriend and I have a full size bed and it is too small for both of us as we both move like to stretch out. Our cats don't usually sleep with us because we keep the bedroom door shut, but when we do open it, they will come in and Jasmine will sleep at our feet while Sammy likes to sleep on my pillow with me. We are currently shopping around for a king size bed.

(which is probably nothing to some people, but to me it's a LOT) - I was bored one day and checked out various nations' Ikea websites just because I'm a dork like that, and I was so shocked at how much cheaper Ikea is in the States... even when you factor in the exchange rate, it's still way cheaper there than here. Bah.
The Chicago Ikea store has a "damaged" section with great markdowns. We bought a little couch there that was marked down for missing the little wooden legs that screw on-you can get those cheap! And the cover was a little dirty, so I ran it through the wash before using it. Now we have a nice, short couch to sit at the end of our (queen-sized) bed, so if the kids watch TV in our room they don't block the view!

Be sure to check out the bargain area if your store has one, you might get lucky and find a good buy there!

I love our queen size bed. It holds me, dh, and no pets. (The cats sleep with the kids, 70 lb dog is on the floor.) The full size we had before was too small. And the king sheets are so big, I don't even know how you wash them-don't they overfill the machine? We have a waterbed, so the top sheet and fitted sheet are sewn together.

Double, cos it's only me! But it's much better than having a single like I used to have at home...

When Sunny and I got married and we were seriously poor, a friend of mine with an extra full sized bed gave it to us. While better than a twin, I always had problems with Sunny wanting to sleep diagonally even though he's not tall (5'7") and I would end up hunched up in a corner
. Somehow or other we still managed to sleep together on a full bed for 4 or 5 years until we finally were able to afford a new queen. Heaven! I could stretch out! And on days when he worked and I didn't after he left in the mornings I got the bed all to myself and could just sprawl!

The sheets are more expensive though. The last set I bought were $60 and that was at Wal-mart. The ones before that were "luxury" sheets and were over $100 at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I'm not sure I could keep a king sized bed in bedclothes!

Just a nice, single bed. I'm 14, so I don't share it with anyone but the cats.

Although, sometimes the cats forget and I sleep on the couch.

Doesn't matter how big the bed - the kitten will probably be sleeping on your head.

My fiance and I have a queen. I hate it! Not enough room. I love stretching out in bed and I can't. We're always fighting over space and 'our sides of the bed'
When we move, we're buying a king size bed, no if's ands or but's about it
