The vet told me that I could give Racer a reprieve from imprisonment and let him out of the stall half days. (It was 106 degrees yesterday, and even his run-in stall turned into a sauna.

So this morning, I let him out his stall and into the pasture where there is not a lot of anything growing at the moment. He starts running the dumb horse! It wasn't a good run, sort of a stumble, lumbering, awkward gait, and I am shouting commands at him to halt, whoa, hold and still he runs........sigh........For a horse that can't walk very well, why run? I captured him and put him back in confinement for that stunt. Next time, I won't open up the pasture area and he can have the paddock which is long and wide but not a lot of running room- to many corners.

Under the cats, mostly.
Aw poor beastie - yeah, made of stupid blocks, but I guess he must jsut have been too over excited at having been let out of his stall. He saw big open space and went for it
Gotta love his spirit though, however stupid it may be

Aw, Racer, soon you will be able to run again. Just give it more time, please?!?

I'm so glad he is showing some improvement, Hissy!

"I have a horse made out of stupid blocks!"

I nominate that as the most surreal thread title I've seen yet.

It's a good job he has you to take care of him MA - but at least he feels well enough to contemplate running with the breeze through his mane. Still - listen to MA Racer, you need to rest up!!!

How IS he? Did the Vet ever find out what was wrong? Sorry if I missed a thread but I did pray for him and the owner of the catsprayers group put him on the Sunday everybody Pray at one time list.
