Im gonna miss ya'll... But I'll BE BACK!!

Well my TCS buddies.... IT'S TIME!!!

I moved here to Missouri a little over 6 years ago at the age of 17 (yea I know, ) to live with David. We met in Louisiana when I was 15 and immediatly took a liking to one another.
He is from Mexico and moved to Louisiana b/c he has alot of family there. He couldn't find any work there so when one of his friends opened a restaurant here in Missouri.. he moved away. I was devastated!!

Well, 6 and a half years later, 2 beautiful babies and almost 6 years of marriage.... we are moving back home!!!!!

We have been through so much together.
When I found out I was pregnant with our first (Laynee) I still had to finish high school. It was hard getting out of bed every morning with morning sickness but David MADE me go. Thats what I just about him. he knows what is best and shoots for it. He never gives up. We are so much alike. So I did graduate (a year late, but I did).

Now that we have our 2 girls (Laynee and Alleaha) we decided that we wanted to use all of our money saved to open our own restaurant. Back home. Neither of us have nay family here and it has been hard for us. But it has brought us so close!! But our girls need to grow up around family.

Well we are moving back sometime within the week. We are going to
New Iberia, La.
Our restaraunt will be named "Las Margaritas" and we should have it opened within a couple of months.
We are both young. Im 23, David is 26. But we are ready. Its what he has always wanted. And his dream is my dream.
We saved for 6 years and now its happening. I almost cant believe it.
Well Ill have atleast a few days on here but once we move it might be a week or two before I can get this hooked back up. Even after that... opening a restaurant is hard work ......
But I'll make time to stop in and let everyone know how things are going.

I just want to thank everyone now for all of your support you have given me these past few months. From needing good vibes for my dad....to being freaked out b/c Garfield was having a horrible reaction to his shot... to Lilo acting like she hated me. Ya'll have always made me feel better. And given me good advice.
So.... THANK YA'LL

I will miss being on here alot but I will be back soon!!

Thank you so much. I feel great. A little scared about how Laynee will do in school there (she went to pre-school here this past school year) she made 2 friends that are twins... Krisman and Kaylee. She already misses them...

Seriously, I haven't had a GOOD margarita in forever---not since Cuco's went out of business . I did find a killer recipe online --- Iguana Cafe I think it is, but IMHO the main reason it's good is the fresh squeezed homemade sweet and sour mix. Haven't had a 'rita in years ...

Top shelf (or at least mid-range) tequila helps too.

Oh, and bear in mind that not EVERYBODY likes cilantro ?

You have a such wonderful family. I can hardly wait to hear all about Las Margaritas. I hope that your father continues to improve & your kitties settle into their new home with no problems. Come back ASAP & tell us all about your move.

Well,
I found out yesturday that the floor plan will not be ready until the first week in September!!
I was kinda bummed b/c Im ready to get this started but Im kinda happy because I was feeling very rushed to get there and get the kids in school.
So I have one more month here.
I thought some of you might want to see our 1st done floor plan...


This is the floor plan (the one before we made some minor changes). The restaurant is amazing!! The left side and all along the back of it is on the Bayou Teche. So we have a boardwalk there where we will set out tables. The floor plan shows alot of tables set out there but we decided to start with about 10 out there. And I know its hard to imagine it but we will have arch ways everywhere!!
Im so excited!!
So anyways, yall are stuck with me for about another month...
