I have saved Peanut Butter from a horrible declaw procedure-- Hubby is amazed at how well the softpaws are working. I put them on ( by myself) the other nite in about 10 minutes-- PB was napping and i managed to not bother him enough to wake him up until i got down to the last two nails (the dewclaw nails) he didnt like that at all. But those things were vicious. Even though he lets me trim his nails every week, hubby was still intent on declawing-- Now hes cool with the $12 per 2 months (hopefully one package will last at least that long) investment. Im soo happy. Here are some pictures of Peanut Butter wearing his new nails...

I dont know how to make the picture show up in the post yet but the link should be clickable i hope.

they are nail caps that fit over your cats claws to prevent damage from scratching. They are glued on and i thought it would be hard to put them on but it was super easy. Im throughly pleased with them. Hubby has even decided as long as they work we can forgo declawing Peanut Butter-- I know the pictures were real good but if you look at his feet in the pictures you can see that his toes are a bit spread apart-- those are the nail caps-- Hes about 14 weeks now so hes in the kitten size and the kitten size only comes in clear. The adult sizes come in various colors as well as clear.

Soft Paws have definitely saved mine and Oliver's relationship! hehehe... they are by far one of the best kitty inventions ever! I am VERY against declawing, having assisted on many a declaw surgery, but the Ollie man was beginning to destroy my furniture and doors... he wears the clear ones as well and not only have they saved furniture, but mine and my boyfriend's skin as well! Definitely a great buy and AMAZING alternative to declawing... I'd recommend them to everyone... after the first time or two of applying them, Oliver understood the situation and now practically runs to me when one sheds off, almost like a woman going "I broke a nail! I broke a nail! Fix it!" haha

My older Persian is so perfectly well behaved, he never claws anything. THe little Scaredy, on the other hand, did claw at my wall paper and my rugs. But I don't think I can get the soft paws on him. Every time I do something to Scaredy (like groom him or try to trim his nails) he acts like I am killing him.
