I have left work and am now on official "gardening leave"

The day finally arrived, I only found out last Tuesday yet so much has happened in the time it has taken for my leaving day to arrive.

We went for italian, had a small departmental lunch and my boss did a small speech, I did a small speech then it was over I have to go back sometime this month to collect my leaving cards/presents - there was not enough time to get a good collection going.

I feel strange. 4 years of my life then suddenly the door closes and another one will hopefully open in early September. I have the rest of this month to find another job, and from my other thread things look positive in that respect.

I don't know if I should or right now...

It's amazing how quick it all happens, isn't it?!

At least you get to go in to see your coworkers and get pressies!

I think you should go with the ! It is time for you to embrace the turning point in your life and enjoy every minute of the change! Good luck with the job hunting - any ideas what you'd like to do?!

I can tell you from personal experience that I did both. I was a bit of a mess for a while.

I really think this is going to end up being the best thing that ever happened to you. I think you are going to find a new position that you will absolutely LOVE!
