Dave Matthews Band & A Sunburn!! (Ouch)

Hey everyone... I've been so busy the last few weeks with work that I haven't been able to get online much... I'm finally being trained for Customer Service so hopefully I'll be getting more hours and I'll be able to make more money...

Anyway! I'm so excited because I had the best weekend, ever.... The Dave Matthews Band concert was this weekend!! I went to the Bronx on Saturday... Adrian and I walked around all day, took pictures, went to the movies and then to dinner.... we had so much fun... Then, Sunday was the concert... we got up extra early and went to the city... We were there an hour early so we waited for the gates to open at noon... DMB didnt start till 8:30pm but there were other things going on all day... Jem, Ray LaMontane & some other bands... Black Eyed Peas opened for Dave... it was the most awesome concert!! We had soooo much fun... by the time it ended it was almost 12:30... We couldnt get a bus off Randall's Island until 1:30 and by the time we got back into the city, we were so exhausted and in so much pain that we decided not to go to BB Kings for the After Party... It's okay tho cuz the day was totally worth it!

BTW... if anyone know any really good sunburn remedies... let me know... I got a really bad sunburn on my arms and face cuz I'm stubborn and didnt wear sunblock... I know, I know... idiot... yes... lol... I've been using aloe but my arms burn more with aloe than without... I've been using a moisturizer which actually has helped.. I'm just a lil worried cuz my arms are blistering...

Anyway... hope everyone else is doing well... :-D

Wow, it sounds like a great and fun filled weekend. Yay!
Sorry to hear about the sunburn though. You should treat it as a minor burn and buy yourself some of those special creams for the blistering.

Glad you had fun but sorry about the sunburn. I'm so sensitive to the sun because of my medication that I always have what's called Solarcaine in my medicine cabinet. It works like a charm and helps with the peeling and blisters.
(not that I've ever been burned in awhile, just doesn't happen anymore thankfully)
Oh yeah, it also works on burns from grease, or ovens. It's great I'm telling you! I got it at Hyvee, but I think you can get it anywhere.

Plain unsweetened yoghurt works a treat, leave it on for half an hour.

Glad you had so much fun at DMB! Did they do new stuff from "Stand Up"? How were the BEP? I've heard they're great, too. Did the 2 bands do anything together?

Aww Amy... thanx for the hug... I think you popped a blister!! LoL!

They did a couple songs from Stand UP... namely Stand Up, Smooth Rider and Dreamgirl... I was hoping for Louisiana Bayou and American Baby but they didnt do those... they actually did them the night before.... Adrian wanted You might die trying but they didnt do that either.... It was still awesome tho... I have so many pictures and I'm trying to go thru them as we speak... I'll post em when I get them done...

BEP was great... they didnt do anything together but they were still awesome... Fergie was doing one-handed backflips while singing... she's awesome!! I wish I could have gotten pictures of them but I didnt wanna risk getting my camera taken away because it was still daylight so I waited for it to be dark before I pulled the camera out...

Anyway... I'm in some serious pain right now... my arms are all blistered and I can barely move em... I called out of work today because there's no way I coulda been on register, ringing people up if I cant move my arms... I dont know how I'm gonna work tomorrow either but I really shouldnt call out... I tried using aloe but it makes my skin burn like someone set flame to my arms and face... My face actually peeled today so I have raw skin on my forehead which is really not good... Iunno what imma do but I have no choice but to just deal with it... I'm gonna see if I can get some Solarcaine or bacitracin or something... I'm just afraid to put anything on it because everything seems to burn... Tho the yogurt sounds like it might work... leave it to the Russians... LoL... Send some vibes that the burn goes away...
