This is Smartie (tortie girl) and Twinkie (orange boy) at 10 weeks old. Twinkie has gone to his forever home, and now his name is Rusty! (Isn't that cute!) He was adopted by a co-worker who's husband died suddenly a few weeks ago. When she was visiting a friend (another co-worker) who has a 12 y/o cat, she liked the way the kitty loved on his Meowmie.
Well, now she has Rusty loving on her. She is quite amusing, because she is a dog person. Rusty is her first cat! She was scared something was wrong with him the first time he purred! She has had to take him down off the curtains once already, and he has tried to follow her outside! But mostly he just follows her around the house, cuddles with her on the couch, etc. Even getting along with her baby graddaughter, who she babysits. He has already figured out how to play nice with the baby, then run off when he has had enough.
I got a voicemail from her today thanking me for this kitty, saying God bless you for this kitty. I can't tell you how happy this makes me feel!
Smartie hasn't been adopted yet, but has gone to another foster home with some new kitten siblings/friends. Sugartoes, the momma, is scheduled to be spayed on Thursday, then she has a new owner lined up!
