Wow! It's amazing. I can see my flat, garden everything ... in fact I am sure I could make out a little black dot on top of the shed

Niagra Falls looks fantastic as does the River Thames and London Eye... A big
to the ppl at Google and those little sattelites working in space!

There's no place like home
I love it! I snooped into the homes that I've lived in all my life and found a new swimming pool in the backyard of the house I grew up in, a new roof on my first purchased house, and a boat in the back yard of the second house I owned. I felt like a peeping tom!

Then I went world traveling. Can't make out the great wall of china very well, but the pyramids were great! Also traveled around London for a while. And you can journey up the river thru the Grand Canyon.

You can take snapshots if you haven't found that feature yet. Perhaps we should post the aerial views of our homes?

Is the program safe to download? I received a warning that some of its contents could potentially harm my computer so I stopped.

Kinda scary. I found my office. And my truck parked at it.
Luckily, my apartment building is in a low-resolution area...for now. Let's hope it stays that way.

Cheryl, Windows will always give you that message when downloading a program. It's just a stock warning. Windows has no clue whether the program you are downloading could actually harm your computer.

I love google earth. I found my house!
I also discovered a ball diamond a mere two blocks away from my house that's big enough to practice on, so I started going there.

OK.....I found my house but everything is a big blur. Plus I can only see the top of my house or tilt it and my house is suddenly a pancake!

I live with Aunt Jamima I guess!

Cheryl,

This is the 2nd time you have shouted at people in this thread because you apparently haven't gotten an answer quickly enough. Please refrain from doing this.

Google Earth is a very new item, still in beta testing, as far as I have read. Not all areas resolve as well as others. I do not see my house or my neighborhood closely at all, nor do I see a friend's house in Georgia.

Somebody posted a long while ago about another site with satellite-view photos. I remember I was able to zoom right in on my house with that one. I've only tried Google Earth a couple of times from my computer at work, as it isn't Mac supported yet.

I like "flying" to other places.
My small town doesn't let you get very close.
