I'm sorry to hear about your Emma. I don't have any experience with the things you're going through, but visit the Health & Nutrition Forum. There have been lots of folks in your same situation and it is full of good info.

Keep us posted, okay?

Also,Pat&Alix is a TCS nutrition advisor who has wonderful know-how on what & how to feeding cats and kittens.
When my kits were Emma's age, they had diarrhea from the KMR and the wet food (MaxCat) that I gave them. My vet had me put them on chicken broth w/ rice & Pedialyte (unflavored), then we added egg yolk (never the white- the albumen is bad for kidneys, esp. raw) and graduated to human baby food and then blended chicken/rice. This went on for a little over a month, if I recall correctly, and we finally were able to go to Eukanuba Kitten Lamb&Rice. I tried Science Diet & NutroMax, but they didn't tolerate those as well. Anyway, my boys did fine (JC is now about 12 lbs.) but the one, Joey, seemed to need to nurse more because for a long time he'd suckle on blankets & afghans (plus my hair & earlobes). In the end, my dad gave Joey an elkskin chew toy, with one end cut long & rolled into a nipple shape & Joey would suck & chew on that and finally gave up "nursing" on things. As long as your vet isn't worried, I wouldn't either; just give Emma plenty of time & make sure any changes are very, very gradual and definitely post in the Health & Nutrition forum!
