I got her to the vet today for spaying. My poor baby!
She is hurt... I just brought her back home and she is so sad... She was just meowing so sadly, wouldn't eat anything, just went to the litter box and crawled under the bed and is still sitting there. I'm just gonna leave her alone. But I feel terrible, why did I spay her, she is an inside only cat...

Now she's got that terrible scar on her stomach and is hurting
...

I'm so sorry. Did the vet give you any pain medicine? If you think she is still in pain in the morning call the vet for something to make her more at ease. Best of luck and I'm thinking of you both. Love, Hope

you made a very responsible choice. You have saved your kitty from heat, unwanted pregnancy, the risk of FIV and Feleuk, cancer, and pyometra. She would thank you if she could.

You did the right thing..mine are all fixed and they never go outside. if your not a breeder , there is no reason to not have them fixed. Don't worry she just feels all oogy. If she still seems like she hurts tomorrow call your vet for some pain med.

You did the right thing. She'll be much better in a few days. The hair will grow back and you'll never be able to see the scar. Cheer up!!

Thank you guys...
she is doing a lot better this morning.

She earlier made this hole under my bed where she crawled into yesterday a few minutes after I got her home and stayed there through the night. This morning she actually came out and tried to play. Was almost back to her normal self. She talked to me a little bit, probably telling me she's still feeling a bit under the weather. My only concern is that she doesn't eat much at all. She's gotten to be so skinny, she probably lost 1/4 of her weight overnight!

Like everyone else, I agree that you did the right thing. Yay for you, being a responsible pet owner!
I'm glad she is feeling better. Don't worry, she'll be back to normal very soon and this will all just be a memory.

She'll be fine!! I know I worried about my baby too but she did just fine!! Give her her antibiotics and ask the vet for more pain meds if you think she needs it. You did the right thing - cats CAN and DO get outside and do you want her to become pregnant and then have even more health probs? (since I am assuming you are not a breeder )

I have all my inside cats fixed, it is so much better on the animal not having to go through the heat cycle, could you imagine wanting for something you could never get? I agree with everyone else, you did the right thing, she'll be back to normal in no time.
