My kit was born april 3rd of this year so hes almost 4 months. i was wondering whats the youngest (safe) age to have a kit fixed? i heard a few different answers, including like if he starts spraying, luckily, as far as i know. he hasnt been doing that. i am just wondering...suggestions.

Assuming good health and normal weight you can do it as soon as the testicles have descended. Actually, it can be done sooner, but it's more expensive as more tricky surgery is involved.

I'd say any time now....

You could have done it as early as two months, but four months is also good so go ahead and make an appointment right now. If you are worried about safety, early is safer than later so now is the time to do it.

Good luck and thanks for wanting to neuter your cat.

It sounds to me like you're confusing the testicles with the scrotum. The scrotum is the "sack" that the testicles (the glands that produce the sperm) are inside. These days normally the testicles are removed through a small slit and the scrotum is left intact. It will be smaller without any testicles inside, and shrink more after the swelling from the surgery goes down.
