Hi,

I'm new to this site and the reason i signed up is because i need help regarding my cat George who seems to twitch the lower half of his body. He also seems to breathe quicker immediately after the twitching as well as salivate. Recently he had an episode of vomiting and was put on a drip and given anti-nausea drugs otherwise he's been healthy. He's 9 months old and lives indoors.

He's fine at the moment but i'm still concerned that he may have an underlying problem.

Could you please be more specific.

- does he twitch under specific circumstances, after beeing petted, etc.
- is he neutered could he be spraying
- specific location of twitch such as back, close to the tail

was the cause for the vomiting ever determined and did the vet take a blood test?

The vet said his vomiting was probably the cause of an infection/gastro-enteritis. He did a blood test to see if his kidneys were ok and that turned out well.

The location of his twitching is the lower half of his body on the back and just a little to each side, he twitches regardless of being petted. Yes he is neutered.

Hope this paints a cleare picture.
