Noticed Morton was washing his bottom way too much. Got a urine sample as vet advised. The color of his urine was very dark brown. I'll be seeing the vet tomorrow but was hoping someone would have some answer for me tonight as to why possibly his urine is so dark.

Gram.....I'd be worried too..however, I don't think any of the members who are vets or vet techs (who would be best to advise you) are on right now. Please make sure to tell us how the appt. goes tomorrow. Is there an emergency clinic that you could call in the meantime, just to alleviate your concerns?

I'll be taking him in as soon as I can get an appointment. He is only 1 1/2 years old and we love him so much.

It could mean your cat isn't drinking enough water, or it could be a health issue. Good thing you are going to the vet.
