We are on day 63 and no kittens yet. I brought this "outside" cat inside for the past week, waiting for the impending delivery. She is so sad, just sits by the window crying. I know she wants to be out getting exercise, fresh air and wondering about as she has probably done all her life.

And yet last night, she couldn't cuddle with me more, slept by my side all night.

I know it's the right thing to do to keep her in, but I feel so badly. I keep feeling her belly and it's getting more firm every day and lots of movement.

And, showing NO signs of nesting or anything. Still eating us out of house and home, too.

You know, now that I'm thinking and watching her more, maybe this IS her nesting. She's all over the place - peering into the glass doors of the firelplace, peering behind the TV. Hmmmm....

She will get used to the new routine of being a housecat. The babies will be so much safer inside, and will tame up nicely. And she won't get preggers again right away.

I just finished fostering a litter, and 3 of the 5 kittens died. I believe it was because she was overbred, and didn't have what this litter of babies needed. Her previous owner thought it was cruel to keep her in. She had 3 litters in 6 months!

I'm glad you are caring for this kitty! Good luck with the babies!

I know what you mean about feeling bad about leaving the kitty in all the time...in my case it it really hard because of kids and some adults...she wants outside alot but she only goes to one place...I am not sure what day she got pregnant on but the only sign she is doing is milking from nipples when you gently squeez them....hope your kitty has a safe and healty litter
