I thought it would be cool to discuss show experiences? I haven't had one yet, but I am SO interested in the stories others may have, AND PHOTOS!!

My show is this November with my two babies Opus, and Beau. Two persian darlings. I can't wait! I just got in Opus last night after a 10 week wait. He is HUGE with a HUGE coat on him and meets beyond the expectations of standards for CFA. I am SO pleased - not to mention he is a solid lilac!! Just GORGEOUS! And Beau is wonderful! Much more petite, but just a doll. A cream and white. Beau's brother just went to a show by the breeder and won 14 ribbons.
I can't wait to see how my two babies do!

So, please post your photos and stories!!!!

Thank you!!
Rose

Hi Rose,

Well I've been showing cats since I was two years old and know everything about shows and everything has happened. If you visit my Captivating Cats thread in Fur Pictures you can see 100's of pictures from shows I've been to.

Hmmm, I can't seem to find it. Can you direct me further to the thread???

Thanks WellingtonCats...

Oh, by the way, since you have showed for so long, do you have any pointers for us newbies?

Hi Rose

First of all don't be afraid to ask for help at shows! I'm sure there is someone always willing to help you. Make sure you take money for lunch etc unless you pack your own. Be prepared for kitty accidents etc!

Here's the link to my thread

Hello, Rose!
Congrats on your new boy, Opus! I look forward to reading more about your show experiences in the Cat Lounge. And by the way, if you want any prayers or good-luck vibes, or just encouragement in general, don't hesitate to join us in the Lounge & let us know! Hope to see pics, soon, too! We love pics at TCS!

Wellington, I don't think I will need any advice about the shows. I am benching not only with one of my breeders, but he actually sets up the show I am going to. So he will be of great help to me! I can't wait.

I read your thread! Well, I only got up to page 30
but it was great fun watching the kitties grow. I hope Bridgette is doing well! She is a doll, and so are the others!

Here is a new photo gallery I have and Beau and Opus are there. All the pics I have from today after his bath and before. He was SO sweet about the bath too. He is such a joy. They are both my little sweet babies.

My Photo Gallery

Hit the slide show on the page and you will see them all.

Thanks!!!

AWWWWW! Super thanks for sharing that link!

I think Beau will do VERY well. He's got a sweet face.

Thanks Bridget will be nine months old (a cat!) on Thursday. She has grown up so fast. *sigh*

You know, I was looking for an exotic just before I found Beau. Too bad I didn't find out about you and this place before then, but everything happens for a reason I guess. Had I not found Beau, (and he was only an hour away), I would never have met some great show couples and get the help at the shows as well. Not only that, but they let me borrow a show cage to display some cat show curtains that I am making and selling now. I couldn't find them ANYWHERE before then. But, I wouldn't change Beau for any cat in the world now. I could never be a breeder though. I would have to keep them all.

Well, I will keep you posted. I am hoping to do more shows then just the one this year. You see, I have anxiety disorder, and it interferes with my traveling, otherwise I would be hitting every show in the US Southern Region. At least Beaus breeders are willing to show Beau for me. I am sure they would show Opus as well, so that is nice to know. I know both cats will be in great hands.
