as to the continuing saga, i gave cat advantage this morning at about 11 AM. I was combing her now and just saw one live flea. Is this is a bad sign?

Literature on Advantage says it kills 98% of fleas within 12 hours of appliction.

But...that means the other 2% will still be alive and lay eggs?
Also, if I see an adult flea crawling around - will it try to jump on me or does it like the cat best?

I HATE Fleas
. Mostly because They LOVE me. If there is a flea it will bite me. Keep using the Advantage. Its good stuff. Eventually they will disappear. When ever I find a flea (very rare I think maybe 4 in the 5 years I've had my girls) I will fill a bowl up with soapy water , put it on the floor and put a lamp right over it. The light will attract the fleas and they plop right into the soapy water and the soap will kill them. Eases me of the horrific flea infestation where they are all over everything (in my mind
) If you get a lot of fleas in the water, then I would consider maybe getting something. I think I bought stuff from my vet when I lived in Fla( talk about fleas..yeesh) I am pretty sure it was called PreCor. Its a powder that you put on your carpet and the vaccuum it up. It is safe for your animals, but it will sterilize the fleas, so no more eggs and eventually no more fleas
its all about revolution. best thing ever. my cat and dog has some fleas, after i gave them an application, a few days later, no fleas, and to this day when i brush my pup. no fleas!
