I received a trendy German spice set and there are only German names for the spices!

I have ruled out a few by smell and taste...
But I am sure that (JCat? and Fwan?) know what

Muskat
Knoblauch
Kummel
Zwiebel

are??

I feel like such a dummy

This is what one online translator had to say:

Nutmeg
Garlic
Kummel
Onion

What is Kummel? Two translators don't recognize it.

i haven't used any german in probably almost 3 years, but used to read, write and speak it reasonably well. the garlic and the onion i definitely recognized, as far as the other two, i'll take the others' word on as i don't have my german dictionary here. i'm sure they're probably right.

Thanks all!!!
Good to know I helped Fran and Sam, if I ever receive a french spice set, I let you know

This set has next to no english on it..(only 7 piece spice set) and even the instructions to put it up are in German, but they included little pictures for the rest of us so hopefully I will get it right!!! I will have to use a little cheat sheet beside the stove until I get used to the names
...

Get this, the set was $90 originally!!! Can you imagine??
My BF works at a warehouse where they import trendy fixtures and pieces for the home and this was an extra that he gave me...

But then again, there is also a stainless steel garbage can there selling for $260!!!

Its to put your garbage in and its $260!!

Who spends this kind of money???

I guess so..He only installs things in people's very large houses in posh areas..
One house had a huge movie star tub with a waterfall for a shower coming out of the ceiling
