Stinky Kitten

My kitten recently had a very bad cold that is now getting better. While he was sick he had a very runny nose and the snot got all over him. He now smells really bad and I don't know how to clean him. I wanted to give him a bath, but the shampoos say not to use on kittens. What should I do?

Dawn dish soap does wonders on kittens so does baby shampoo

Please, please, please don't bathe a kitten who has recently recovered from an URI!! If you MUST get this kitten clean, then take a little cotton gauze, dampen it with warm water and spot clean. Don't get this baby totally wet.
