I was making a fuss of my beautiful Bell last night, and found a large "squashy" lump on the bottom/side of her jaw. its not quite as far as her throat. she has been "off" with everyone lately and I was amazed she let me make a fuss of her. I am unable to get to the vet until monday as hubbie has use of the car this weekend. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what this could be? I wondered if cats like us can get abcesses on their gums/teeth??

My Juniper (RB) had exactly that on his jaw once, and the vet had to drain the abscess and extract a tooth. He was fine after.
