Just needing to vent a bit about the people living next to us...

They are selling their place and moving soon, so they seem to think they can act like complete idiots now!
They do all sorts of stupid things, like shaking rugs over the balcony so the crud drifts onto ours but they seems particularly fond of slamming doors, shouting in the stairs, shouting in the garden and my pet peeve is letting Dax inside the stairway and then leaving her there!!

Anyway, I've just about had enough. I hope they move soon! Thanks for listening.

oops, I meant this to go in the cat lounge -
sorry mods!

Thanks.. Yeah I know they are moving soon, but it just is not soon enough!!

Dan and I just got home from picking some berries in the forest nearby and the witch that lives next door comes storming out with her sister?(I'm guessing), we both say hi to them as we pass in the stairs and they just look at us and begin talking to each other in Polish!! So freaking rude!!

I dont know about the sister, but the woman does know how to speak excellent swedish, I have spoken to her before, repeatedly. She has just decided to become cow of the year since she is moving.

Ok - just so its clear, I dont object to them speaking Polish!! - its the fact that they ignored us and began speaking it like they didnt understand us. That was what I found rude!

Our neighbors are so loud they caused my parrot hen to abandon her clutch of eggs this year.
They're lucky it was a sterile clutch, or I'd have been fuming.

At least your siggy cheered me up - what a poser!!

Yeah that is some SERIOUS kitty porn goin' on there!!!

Re: neighbors: I don't live in an apartment but I tell ya it doesn't get any better when you're in a house. Not in my neighborhood, anyway. In the past few months, we've had a mailbox blown up, a peeping-tom, my neighbor's house got paintballed because he is a druggie and apparently one of his deals went bad, and the transformer on our street is going bad so we kept losing power during the 107-degree days last week. That's not a "neighbor issue", however, it *does* make the neighbors really antsy and crazy when your house is 100 degrees and everyone has to get out and socialize when they really don't want to!

Anyways, its awful you have to put up with such crap.
Maybe you should talk to them, you shouldn't have to be bothered so.

Ugh-we have lived in this dump going on our 3rd year, & I could tell some stories about neighbors! I was just talking with my fiancee, Mike about moving out of here.
We live in a small "complex" of 4 apartments..recently we had a battle with crackheads that lived on the end..we combined forces with the neighbors on the other end to get them out.
Now we have a couple of young girls next to us who party all the time. One of them has a baby, & I wonder where this baby is when all of these guys are coming & going.
This past Friday, there was so much thumping going on, I thought someone was trying to break into our place-I get out of bed, go into the livingroom, & one of those crazy broads is throwing a fit. She is screaming, "Get off me! get the f^%$ off me!" & throwing things around, making one hell of a noise. This was midnight, & Mike had to work the next day. I didn't, or I would have called the cops.
So, during the week at some ungodly hour, Mike heard them thumping around again. It woke him up.
The other night, they woke us up, AGAIN at 1:00 am, partying in the room that butts up next to our bedroom. The only room that isn't block walls, because it's an addition. At that point, I was just sick of them & banged on the wall so hard it hurt my hand. I yelled stuff like "it's 1:00 in the morning, don't you people have JOBS"-shortly after that, we heard a slam, like they left, & it took us at least another hour to get back to sleep, because we were both angry/wound up. The next day I was so tired, after work we took a 4 hr nap..they never said anything to us.
It is just way too hot to deal with these people & then go to work in a hot environment for 8 hours. I have no patience for it anymore.

Thanks for letting me blow off some steam here. I would go and talk to the woman but she kinda scares me - shes big, loud, and pretty rude. I think if I was lucky she would just slam the door in my face.

They have been screeching most of the evening - I'm not sure if they are laughing or killing one another.

Sorry to hear you have such rude neighbors! I can TOTALLY relate to that though!

Currently I'm surrounded by college aged boys. I'm talking 8 of them in the same hallway as me and then a whole group of them in the hallway next to me. Almost every Friday night either my jerkoff neighbors next door or the guys in the hallway next to me will have a HUGE party. If it's my next door neighbors I can always hear their music loud and clear and people yelling in their apartment. Sometimes people will spill out into the hallway and they have their ridiculously loud conversations in a small enclosure that echos like you wouldn't believe. If it's the guys in the hallway next to me their parties are so huge that people spill into the parking lot directly in front of my window and I can hear them screaming and laughing or fighting...whatever they happen to be doing that night...ALL NIGHT LONG! I'm not joking when I say it NEVER stops before 4am. Last night my neighbors decided to have some people over after they had gotten back from clubbing downtown. The music started at 3:30am, woke me up, and ended at 5am! The worst part is that on Saturday mornings I have to wake up at 7:15, so when they have these parties I get to sleep from about 12:30-1:30 and then from 4am-7:15!!! It makes me CRAZY! I've called and complained to the afterhours answering service we have here and on a couple of ocassions they've sent cops out to stop the parties. But it's gotten so bad that I'm planning on tlaking to my leasing agent directly and telling her that something needs to be done about before I loose my mind. The great thing about this complex is that they value their tenants and I KNOW they'll be slapped with eviction notices if they keep it up after I complain. I've just broken down and cried some nights because of all of the noise.

So I TOTALLY feel you on the rude neighbors thing! Just hang tight and they'll be out of there soon.

Bringing back bad memories. I lived over a guy who would get home about 1 AM and turn on his music so LOUD that it sounded like it was in my apartment. I would call the police and it would take them 10 minutes of banging on the door for the guy to even hear them. This was almost every night. Fortunately he was gone after 3 weeks.

Now the my neighborhood is much quieter though there are some teen-agers who live across the street and sometimes there is little spats that always take place in the middle of the street in the middle of the night. Just the other night I was blessed with the news that some guy was upset that Erin was seeing that ******** Brandon and he was going to do something about it. Not enough details to make it juicy, just irritating.

Sending good neighbor vibes to those having to put up with the idiots. I guess they have to live somewhere but why don't they live near each other instead of kind considerate folks.

Greetings folks.

My condolences and complete understanding on the idiotic neighbor situations....I'm in a similar pickle myself.

I live in a 12 unit apt complex with my boyfriend, our awesome kitty Bosco and our rabbit, Homer. When we signed the lease, it was on the premise that there was no pets allowed. Homer was ok, since he was caged. Everyone knows that most people still sneak them in. After seeing a few kitties in the area, and even dogs, we decided we needed a new furbaby, hence Bosco arrived.

One of my major concerns is with the darn property manager! (our landlord hasn't even stepped foot into the building..he just sits on his rump & collects the coin). The first property manager we dealt with (yes, we're onto the 2nd, and we've only been here a year) was just a tit. A useless tit. That even became our nickname for him. He didn't do anything... ex, when we needed a new light installed over our kitchen sink he dropped it off and my b/f had to install it.

Soon later, the trailer trash moved in. They're stinky icky people...and offered to take over Tit's position as property managers. It was accepted. They live across from us. Shortly after their arrival, their offspring moved in...underneath us...their son and daughter in law I guess...and young daughter. They're unemployed, so keep an erratic schedule...such as BBQ'ing every night (EVERY) at 12am. Our bedroom window is above the BBQ so the smoke and stink wafts in nightly. Not to mention our bed is right under the bedroom window.

They also smoke pot.

On a daily basis. They open their screen door and stand on the patio to inhale the pot and it, of course, also wafts into our apt. Inconsiderate jerks.

He arrives home every single night with a new beer case and pack of smokes in tow. Every night. They're loud, they play loud music in between munchie-BBQ'ing...and I'm sick of it. And what about their child??

The only thing getting me through this summer is the fact that we're going to move into our new house Sept 16. When daddy-property manager picks up August's rent, though, I have a little something prepared to ask about the pot thing.

Thanks for allowing me to rant!!!!!!!!

Oh Sweetie!! I feel your pain!!! AND everyone else who posted about THEIR obnoxious neighbors!!! I DETEST my neighbor across the street. He is a middle aged guy, having a mid-life crisis. He bought a Harley, and I have nothing against motorcycles, per se..... If it were just him, driving in and out. BUT, he fixes them now(and bypasses the muffler/baffle, and there is NO way it is legal, the decibel level they are at now!!), too, so it is nothing to have 20 Harley's ROARING up and down the driveway, in one day. So, 20 Harley's up the driveway, translates, to 20 Harley's DOWN the driveway, so that is FORTY Harley trips in one afternoon!!!
And they all stand over there and drink, then jump on their Harley's and ROAR and peel out of here. And then, they are often back there again at 2am, after last call at the bars.......
This WAS a nice, quiet, family neighborhood, before he started in with all this! I complained to the police, and they do NOTHING!! Why? Because THEY have Harley's too, and my obnoxious neighbor fixes the cop's motorcycles for FREE!!!!!!!! Nothing like having the cops in your back pocket!!!!!!!

Here is a photo I took recently, and that was just a FEW of them, that day!!!

--I hope ALL of you, can find SOME way to get past your obnoxious neighbors! I have contacted the mayor of my little town and am going to follow through on it, for SURE!!!
