This is a very special day for two reasons. It was six months ago today that I adopted a timid, six-month-old feral kitten. Today (give or take a week or so) Peter, now a sweet, easygoing young cat, is celebrating his first birthday, along with his six siblings. They were trapped in early Oct. last year at about three months old after a kind neighbor alerted us to the situation. We found wonderful homes for all of the kittens and had the mama
cat spayed. She was adopted by the neighbor.
I initially had some doubts about adding a third cat to the household, but they didn't last long. Pete is an absolute sweetheart and it has been a joy to watch him blossom. Even "the girls" have come to accept their "little brother." I'm so glad to have this sweet boy in my life.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Pete and his brothers and sisters (Gary, Smudge, Mr. Fluffy, Bianca, Lucy and Claire)!!!
