I have noticed that many of you have dogs. I was wondering if maybe we can start a thread and post bios and pictures of our canine friends.

These are my guys and gals.

from front to back

Niki-5 year old female Border Collie rescued from the Humane Society

Cody-1 1/2 year old female Aussie purchased as a puppy. (never again)

Buddy-2 year old male Border Collie rescued from a high kill shelter

Bozy-4 year old male Aussie rescue from the Aussie Rescue Placement Helpline

I look forward to seeing your pooches.

cio (the one laying down): a mix between a husky and a collie we got her from a shelter when she was a pup strangely enough her brothers and sisters all looked like poodles

brook: a great perinese we got her from a breeder ,at the age of 2, who did shows but she didnt like doing shows and they couldn breed with her because there was a knee prob in her fam. so they couldnt or didnt want to keep her

Very cool!! I'm just now joining the digital age of photography, and I'd like to present Cinnamon:

The now-84 lb thinks-he's-a-lapdog who will be getting in shape along with me. He was purchased by my mom and step-dad from a petstore (which I was
about from day one, but he's still loveable!!) as a "Sheltie/Springer cross" but it's tough to see the Springer - if anyone else has a better guess, I'd love to hear it.

One little idiosyncracy: he has an extra toe on his back feet!!!!

I don't have a recent pic of Kellie, maybe I'll drop in later and put up something more recent as since she's been spayed her coat is HUGE!!! This pic is about 3-4 years old.

"West Bay's Tequila Sunrise" AKA "Kellie" AKA "Pouf" AKA "Hairball" AKA Mop

Took her to the vet today (she's got an ear infection --- again --- sigh) and assistants and vet all commented "She's got a LOT of hair!" well, yeah, Pekingese do ya know but I doubt they see very many "proper" Pekes.

Here is my big baby boy Bear, 90 pounds of cringing cowardice

I adopted Bear from the King County Animal Shelter (High kill, The "pound") when he was 9 months old. He's 4 years old now and still a big goofy puppy.
He's a lab mix (we believe mixed with a bully or mastiff breed).
Lab coat, lab tail (even though someone docked it), webbed feet, but tiny, dainty almost and on spindly legs too.

His color gets screwed up in photos, but he's a rich cocolate brown with a black stripe running down his back (like a mule!)

This is sweet Ruby...she's just turned 12 weeks old and is a gold Labradoodle we got from a breeder here in Perth.

and this is me a few years ago with the pups I had with my ex-husband...Virgil (at the front) and Jerry. With Cairo, too, of course!! They are pure-bred german shepherds (same litter) - Virgil is known as a `blue' colour. We got them from a breeder about an hour out of Perth. (And I look nothing like that anymore either, I might add!!)

Golly! Three Great Danes! How on earth do you manage them? I thought two big German Shepherds was hard enough...lol.

Are they really rambunctious as puppies?

This is a small pic of my puppy
Thunder

He was the best dog anyone could ask for. I miss him terribly.
I have better pics of him, but they're on my other computer. I'll post them later. He was 13 in this pic. It was taken months before he passed.

Let this be a reminder to all dog owners.... use heartworm prevention.... you'll be glad you did.

I love it. Thanks for posting your pups. Just a testimony that dogs CAN get along with cats.

Love it, lets keep the dogs a coming. I know MA has two new pups that need to be pictured. Or is it just one. A little bungled here.
