I live in Fort Lee, NJ

I was putting down food & water at a feral colony last night when I came across a blind kitten (his eyes were very black- and red around the rims).

She/he looked healthy otherwise (she/he is not skinny). I called my vet and got a couple of rescue places. I spoke to one lady who can't take her and she was going to call someone else. Altogether I called 5 rescue places. Either they are not accepting any new kitten or not calling me back. (Including the rescue where I got my 2)

Can anyone help me give me any ideas of what to do? I don't have a trap but if I can catch her, put in my carrier bring her in bring her to the vet, can someone foster her.

Please help!

Are you sure the kitten is blind? Has the kitten been to a vet? Special needs kittens are sometimes easier to place than normal ones. I may know someone who can help- not sure if they are still in your area but will ask. In the meantime, if you can get the kitten to a vet that would be great!

Her eyes look completely black and the rims are red, almost like there were no eyes in her head. She did not look at me when I put down food. I don't mind taking her to the vet, but I can't bring her home.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I would take her to a vet and have her looked over....once a vet has determined if she is indeed blind..you can work on the next steps. You may even want to ask the vet if they know someone who wants to take this little one....can't hurt asking.
